500 Series Option Definitions

  1. Automatic Reset - When the circuitry detects an alarm condition, the alarm has to be acknowledged by the operator in order to silence the alarm. Once the alarm condition has been corrected, the circuit automatically rearms itself.
  2. Manual Reset - Again, when an alarm condition is detected, the alarm has to be acknowledged by the operator in order to silence the alarm. But, once the alarm condition has been corrected, the circuit is not rearmed until the operator resets it.
  3. Latching (memory) Mode - this mode requires the acknowledgment of temporary as well as a continuous alarm condition. Each occurrence of alarm has to be acknowledged by the operator, even if the alarm condition has corrected itself.
  4. Non-latching Mode - In this mode of operation, the occurrence of temporary, short term, transient alarm conditions need not be acknowledged by the operator.
  5. Normally Open Circuit with "Circuit Fail" Detection - The module can be set up to work for a normally open sensor with "Circuit Fail" detection. Any break in the wiring of the circuit will be detected with this feature. The "Circuit Fail" option can be set to be supervised automatically or manually.
  6. Normally Closed - With this feature the module is set for a normally closed sensor.
  7. Module Failure Detection (MF) - If any components on a module are removed or installed incorrectly, this feature detects it. This can be ordered one of two ways. A normally "off" red LED comes "ON", or a normally "on" green LED goes "OFF".
  8. Individual Circuit Test (ICT) - This option allows the testing of each individual module with an artificial alarm condition. To do so, place a small pointer into the ICT hole on the face plate of the module and push down on the button. This option is excellent for troubleshooting faulty wiring.
  9. Lighted Display - With this option the alarm display is lighted. This allows greater visibility and easier identification of an alarm condition.
  10. Light/System Test - This option allows testing of lights on each alarm circuit. Also during the activation of Light/System Test Switch actual circuitry will be tested, "Circuit Fail" circuit in the N.O. Mode and actual circuits in N.C. Mode.
  11. Computer Interface - Allows interface with a computer for data logging or other purposes.
